What Makes This Course Different
Most change management training teaches the theory of change. This course teaches the system. Two integrated methodologies drive every session: the Hoshin Kanri X-Matrix methodology and the Designed Discipline framework.
Hoshin Kanri X-Matrix
A strategic planning and executive alignment tool that cascades multi-year organizational goals down to daily accountable actions on a single page.
Designed Discipline Framework
The behavioral layer that connects strategic planning to frontline performance — designing Decision Guardrails, Operating Cadences, Accountability Structures, and Behavioral Checkpoints that sustain execution without adding meetings.

Deliverable: Completed, audit-ready operational playbook.
Day-by-Day Deep Dive
Day 1
The X-Matrix Engine
Most transformations fail because the operational space between executive intent and frontline performance was never closed. Day 1 builds the diagnostic vocabulary for that gap and engineers the tool that closes it.
Advanced organizational change readiness and impact assessments (ACMP Standard 2.0)
CSI 2 metrics to map sponsor coalitions and identify structural vulnerabilities
Initiative charters with scope, resources, and success criteria
Applied exercise: Full readiness diagnostic across all five stakeholder populations for the Michigan Left engagement corridor
Day 2
The Designed Discipline System
Strategy documents do not execute themselves. Day 2 replaces decorative buy-in tactics with the structural architecture of Designed Discipline — without adding meetings or interrupting operations.
Decision Guardrails and Operating Cadences to insulate long-term commitments
Resource allocations, sponsorship calendars, and communication tracking anchored to behavioral signals
Accountability Structures and Behavioral Checkpoints inserted into existing operational routines
Real-time resistance management lab: designing structural interventions for behavioral deviations
Day 3
Governance & Capstone Defense
Day 3 builds the structures that prevent collapse 6–12 months post-launch, then participants present their complete integrated playbook for peer and instructor audit against ACMP Standard 2.0.
Quarterly scorecard frameworks pairing leading behavioral indicators with lagging metrics
Formal ownership transfer processes
ACMP Code of Ethics laboratory: scope creep, sponsor abandonment, severe public resistance
Portfolio Capstone Defense: explicit mapping of every decision against all five ACMP process groups
ACMP Standard 2.0 Coverage
All five ACMP Standard 2.0 process groups are covered across the three-day curriculum, supporting QEP application and CCMP certification eligibility.
